Design and Build

The Infinix Zero 5G has an updated design that looks quite good and modern. The camera bump at the back will definitely get your attention as it is uniquely done with the right curves in the right places. The camera bump is made up of a 48MP main sensor, 13MP telephoto lens and a 2MP sensor.

The back cover is made of plastic biut does not look cheap, it has a glossy finish with gives it a more classy look. This plastic also means that you do not have to worry about serious damages when you drop the phone.

All the ports and buttons are in the regular places with the power and volume buttons on the right side of the phone. The power button also doubles as the fingerprint scanner which is quite fast and accurate.

The speaker grille, USB C port and microphone are all at the bottom part.

The Display

The Infinix Zero 5G has a 6.78-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels. This display is decent with acceptable brightness levels and colour reproduction. The display can be used outdoors as it gets bright but may not be comfortable under direct sunlight.

The display has a 120Hz refresh rate which offers a smooth scrolling experience through different apps. This high refresh rate will drain your battery much faster but considering the experience it provides, I have to say it is worth it.

Software and Performance

The Infinix Zero 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor. This promises so much power and reliable performance. The phone comes with Android 11 with XOS 10 out of the box. XOS 10 is slightly different from the previous version with improved functionality and some visual changes. We first saw this late last year so it should be due for an upgrade soon.

The processor is quite powerful and should be able to handle anything you throw at it. It can handle day-to-day tasks and you will also be able to play some games with it without any issues.

The phone comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. You can expand the RAM further using what Infinix is calling MemFusion. This is just 3GB of virtual memory that uses part of the storage space to provide extra RAM and memory management. This in the end helps to improve the multitasking experience.

Battery

He Infinix Zero 5G is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. This battery is quite big and should be able to easily last anyone an entire day even with heavy usage. The customizations in XOS can also help with battery management so for the non-power users, you can get this phone to last for more than a day.
