Earlier this year, WhatsApp announced an update to its privacy policy that got so many people angry and worried about the move the messaging app was taking. With this privacy policy update, WhatsApp would share some information with its parent company, Facebook.

WhatsApp has clarified this move and even delayed the implementation but in the end pushed a Terms of Service that limited features for users who did not accept the changes. With this move, a number of people were annoyed and some even opted to using other chat services.

To counter this, WhatsApp is making some changes to these terms according to WABetaInfo. With the changes, the messaging app will make it optional except when messaging businesses that use cloud providers.  For these cases, users will have to accept those terms before they can even send that message to the “special” business.

With this clarification, regular WhatsApp users will not have to worry about the new privacy policy and they can dismiss the notifications.
