OPPO has today announced the availability of the Reno5 F in Kenya. This is the latest iteration in the Reno5 series and will be available in stress for Ksh 32,000. The phone is available through OPPO brand shops, authorised dealers and e-commerce platforms – Jumia, Kilimall and Masoko, at Ksh32,000.

The OPPO Reno5 F joins the OPPO Reno5 that was launched in the country last month and is available in stores for around Ksh 42,000. The Reno5 F is the affordable variant but still comes with some decent specs. It has a 6.43-inch display with a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels.

As you may have figured it out already, the OPPO Reno5 F is a toned-down variant of the Reno5 but the two share some of the key specifications with differences being in the performance department.

Powering the Reno5 F is the MediaTek Helio P95 processor that is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage space. This is standard for any Reno device and it is good to see OPPO has maintained it for the cheaper model. The phone comes with Android 11 out of the box with ColorOS 11.1.

Speaking on the launch, Muthoni Wachira, Head of Communications & Projects at OPPO Kenya said, “Reno5 F is the culmination of both user feedback and the extensive research conducted on the latest technology that’s being deployed on Reno5 F. The 30W VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 ensures that Reno5 F is a great accompaniment to your life.”

For the cameras, the OPPO Reno5 F has a 48MP Main sensor at the back. This is part of a quad-camera setup with the rest being an 8MP ultrawide lens, 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, the Reno5 F has a single 32MP sensor housed in a punch hole cut out.
