    Google released Android 11 in September, and since then, not-so-many smartphone makers have been able to seed the update to their devices. Xiaomi is among the few who have taken an initiative to update eligible devices to Android 11.

    Several Xiaomi phones have received as Android 11 at the time of writing including Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, Redmi K30 Pro, and Redmi K30 Pro 5G. All of these devices were released in 2020. Xiaomi gave priority to flagship Mi 10 series phones.

    But the company has not yet forgotten some of its previous devices launched in 2019 and has plans to update them as well. In the Mi Community in China(via GizmoChina), the company listed a couple of devices that will also be updated to MIUI 12-based on Android 11.

    Here’s the list of Xiaomi and Redmi phones from 2019 that will receive Android 11;

    • Redmi Note 8
    • Redmi Note 8 Pro
    • Redmi K20 Pro / Mi 9T Pro
    • Mi CC9 / Mi 9 Lite
    • Mi CC9 Meitu Edition
    • Mi 9 SE
    • Mi 9
    • Mi 9 Pro

    The company has not detailed when these phones should receive the update.

    Xiaomi’s MIUI 12 ROM was launched in May, based on Android 10, and the company has already availed it on a variety of phones. But since Google released Android 11, the company has updated its ROM to include core features incorporated in the latest version of Android.
