Huawei has confirmed that it will be launching one of its latest wearable, the Huawei Watch Fit, in Kenya. The Watch Fit can be categorized as a wearable that falls between the Huawei Watch GT smartwatches and its fitness band series. The Watch GT is a full-fledged Smartwatch series that is geared to users who want a complete Smartwatch. The Huawei Band series on the other hand is for those who want the fitness features but may not want a Smartwatch yet.

The Huawei Watch Fit was unveiled a few months back and is even available in some markets already. It is now our chance to get the Watch Fit but the exact launch date and price is still unknown.

When launched in Kenya, it will join the Huawei Band series as well as the Huawei GT2 and GT Pro.

Speaking of the soon to be launched smartwatch, Country Head Jim Zhujie said, “With the wide variety of smart devices surrounding us today, we live in a connected digital era. Apart from the smart phones, which act as a nexus point, one of the most popular smart devices seen with people are in fact smart wearables. Modern smart wearables have woven themselves ever so deep into our daily lives, serving primarily as an extension of our smartphones. However, a key feature of these wearables in fact lies in their health and fitness tracking capabilities. With today’s world having everyone more concerned about their well-being, it’s no surprise that everyone wants to keep track of major health indicators.

    The Huawei Watch Fit will:

    • Have an animated personal trainer covering 12 workout courses including 44 posture demonstrations.
    • Support 96 support 96 workout modes with advanced data tracking which ranges from 11 professional workout modes that cover the most popular exercise types, such running, walking, cycling, swimming and more, while a further 85 workout modes cover other forms of exercise including fitness training, dancing, ball games, water sports, winter sports, extreme sports and more.
