Google has already rolled out dark mode to some of its key applications but not to all its apps. With Android 10’s support for dark theme, having dark mode embedded within an app is more important than ever.

For Google, some of its applications that have not been updated to have dark mode include Google Docs, Sheets and Slides. This is the case right now but that may be changing soon.

9to5google is reporting that plans are underway to bring dark mode to Google Docs, Sheets and Slides. This was discovered after decompiling the latest version of these applications that were recently added to the Play Store by Google. From here, they discovered some dark theme traces that are yet to be enabled on the apps.

According to the report, Google is preparing to roll out dark mode for these apps soon as the code was added to these apps a few weeks back. For when the feature will be available, that is a secret that only Google knows and all we can do is sit and wait for thee official announcement.

Even though the feature is yet to roll out, some users have been able to enable it as you can see below.
