The Nokia 5.1 Plus is the latest smartphone from HMD Global to get Android 10. The update has just started trolling out and with this, the number of Nokia smartphones to get the update has risen to 15. This is impressive considering that there are phone manufacturers who are yet to roll out the update to any of their devices.

The Nokia 5.1 Plus was launched towards the end of 2018 and the company has promised two years of OS updates and true to that, the company is sticking to its word. When it was launched, the Nokia 5.1 Plus came with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. With the latest update, the phone has received two major OS updates and it is still not clear if it will be getting Android 11 when it is released.

HMD may just decide to update it with Android 11 just to keep its fans happy. Even if it does not get the next major OS update, the Nokia 5.1 Plus should get monthly security updates till the end of 2021.

There are other Nokia devices that will be getting the update this year so be patient if your device has not received it yet.

Nokia 5.1 Plus owners who decide to get this update will enjoy some of the new Android 10 features including gesture navigation, Smart Reply, Privacy Controls, Focus mode, Family Link etc.
