Binge-watching TV shows and movies on Netflix can sometimes be problematic as a result of accidental touches, especially for folks with curved displays. However, Netflix wants to give you peace of mind by preventing accidental touches via a new setting available on its Android app.

Screen Lock is located below the progress bar and can be enabled once on the play screen. When the screen lock is activated, Netflix Android removes the media control buttons and all the other buttons including the audio and subtitles.

To unlock, simply tap on the “Tap to Unlock” option and then on a new “unlock control” button which will show up immediately after that.

The feature has been available for some days now and can be found on the latest version of the app. Although not so significant, the feature is a handy addition.

This year alone, Netflix has introduced a couple of new features. The company first introduced the data-saving AV1 video codec on its Android App, followed by the ability to disable autoplay reviews. Besides, the company has also rolled out a top 10 feature which ranks movies and TV shows based on popularity in a country. Earlier this month, Netflix introduced PIN protection for profiles, in addition to other parental controls.
