Mozilla Releases its own VPN App for Windows and Android

Firefox office

Mozilla has released its own VPN service that will be available on both Android and Windows 10 at launch. The app is in addition to the browser extension the company launched in the US market last year.

Through this VPN, Mozilla promises no network traffic logs or browser history. That won’t come for free, of course. You will have to pay $4.99 per month to enjoy this service. On top of that, the VPN uses a new Wireguard protocol that promises faster browsing speeds.

The app is built by Mozilla, the parent company behind the Firefox browser, and runs on a global server network from Mullvad.

The VPN will support up to five simultaneous connections – perfect for family users. The company has servers located in over 30 countries globally.

The app is in beta-phase, but you can be able to hop in when invited. The company says the VPN will be available on other platforms – Mac, Linux and iOS – very soon.

Mozilla joins the list of growing companies which have decided to include VPN services inside their browsers like Opera.
