TECNO has officially confirmed on the upcoming Camon 12 Series which is likely to be launched in Nigeria first. On this year’s Camon 12 Series, TECNO is expected to launch three devices; Camon 12, Camon 12 Pro and Camon 12 Air.

As usual to the Camon series, both models are touted having the best camera with TECNO stacking a triple camera setup in the combo.

    TECNO Camon 12 Pro

Unlike the other two devices in the Camon 12 Series, TECNO Camon 12 Pro full specs have already been leaked and confirmed via an unboxing YouTube Video. TECNO Camon 12 Pro boasts a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with 720 x 1548p resolution presented in a 19.5:9 aspect ratio.  The display houses 277ppi which is even lower than what the criticized Xiaomi MI A3 features.

The display covers most of the front, thanks to the dot-notch screen housing the 32MP selfie camera. Out of the box, the Camon 12 Pro runs on Android 9.0 Pie splashed with HiOS 5.0 on top and with TECNO’s history, Android 10 may likely never land on this device, sadly.

On matters photography, the Camon 12 Pro features a triple camera setup on the rear made up of a 16MP, 2MP and 8MP sensors with Quad flash. The selfie is a 32MP snapper with Dual flash.

Just like TECNO’s recent flagship, Phantom 9, Camon 12 Pro also features an in-display fingerprint scanner, I’m not sure if this is ultrasonic or optical. Internally, TECNO Camon 12 Pro depends on MediaTek’s Helio P22 Octa-Core processor clocked at 2.0GHz.

The memory configuration for Camon 12 Pro includes 4GB of RAM paired with 64GB of ROM. Other Camon 12 Pro specs include 4G LTE support, dedicated Google Assistant button on the left, Face Unlock, Dual SIM support, 3500mAh battery, and a dedicated microSD card slot.

    TECNO Camon 12 & 12 Air

Although Camon 12 and 12 Air specifications have not yet been confirmed, the two are rumored to feature a 6.52 inch and a 6.55-inch AMOLED display respectively. Camon 12 Air has been tipped as having the punch-hole display which is excellent and makes the device more impressive than the Phantom 9. In a video posted recently, TECNO has tipped on a device in the Camon 12 series with 6/64GB memory configuration but it is not yet known which one has this memory module yet.

Other specs of the duo include 4000mAh battery, 4G LTE support, and triple camera setup on the rear with variable configuration.

    Price

The Camon 12 Series has not yet been launched, but as usual, the Camon Series is priced cheaper than TECNO’s Phantom “flagship” series. So expect a lower price than Ksh 23,999.
