The Huawei Y6 Prime 2019 is Available on Pre-Order in Kenya for Ksh 13,499

Huawei Y6 2019

Huawei has unveiled yet another entry level smartphone in Kenya. This new phone, the Huawei Y6 Prime 2019, was unveiled earlier today and those interested can pre-order one through Kilimall and Jumia. You will be able to pre-order this phone as from today all the way to the 15th of March and from then the phone will be available to purchase through these online stores or from offline stores for Ksh 13,499. This is a reasonable price considering the specifications of this phone.

The Huawei Y6 Prime 2019 is the second smartphone from the company to be launched in the country in less than two months. The other one was the Huawei Y7 Prime 2019 that we saw in the country last month. Before the Y7 Prime, the company unveiled the Huawei Y9 2019 towards the end of 2018.

The Huawei Y6 Prime 2019 is the smaller brother to the Y7 Prime 2019 and you can see that from the design. The one big difference between these two phones is the available brown leather variant for the Y6 Prime 2019. I have this variant and I have to say it looks really good. It looks different from what we are used to seeing on most smartphones and specifically within this price range. The Y6 Prime 2019 also has the dew drop notch that we saw on the Y7 Prime 2019.

The Huawei Y6 Prime 2019 also comes with Android Pie with EMUI 9 out of the box. This is the first Y series smartphone to come with Android Pie.

Below are some of the key specifications of the Huawei Y6 Prime 2019.
