The Soon to be Launched Infinix Hot 6 Pro Will Have a FullView 18:9 Display and May Even Have A Snapdragon Processor

Infinix is getting ready to launch its first smartphones in Kenya this year (2018). These are the Infinix Hot 6 and Infinix Hot 6 Pro that the company is saying will be launched soon. The company is already teasing the HOT 6 Pro on its social media pages. With this, I expect the Hot 6 line to be launched in Kenya within the next two months.

The one standing feature that we can make out from what the company has shared is that the Infinix Hot 6 Pro will have an 18:9 aspect ratio.

This will not be the company’s first device with a FullView display, we have saw it on the Infinix Hot S3 that unfortunately was never launched in Kenya. Since this was the case, I expect some of the features that were on the HOT S3 to be available on the Hot 6 Pro. We have seen a good number of smartphone manufacturers embrace the 18:9 aspect ratio and it is not surprising to see Infinix join in too. With this aspect ratio, you get devices that are twice as tall as they are wide and therefore allow manufacturers to use much bigger displays on small form factors.

Another image shared by the company points hints at the presence of a dual camera setup on the Infinix Hot 6 Pro. We last saw a dual camera setup on Infinix with the launch of the Zero 5 and Zero 5 Pro in 2017. The Zero 5 and Zero 5 Pro are premium devices so I don’t expect the Hot 6 or Hot 6 Pro to have the same cameras as those two. To paint a clear picture, the Zero 5 has a 12MP and 13MP camera combination at the back so with the Hot 6 Pro, one camera will at least be 13MP and the second one should be 8MP, 5MP or 2MP.

Most of the other specifications of the Infinix Hot 6 Pro are still a mystery but I am expecting a Snapdragon processor, at least for the Hot 6 Pro. I know this sounds like a stretch but considering that we did not get the Hot S3 in Kenya earlier in the year, the company may want to use the Hot 6 Pro to make it up for its fans who have always been waiting for an Infinix smartphone with a Snapdragon processor. The Infinix Hot S3 has a Snapdragon 430 processor so I expect a similar one on the Hot 6 Pro.

As for the RAM and storage space, we should be getting at least 3GB and 32GB respectively for the Hot 6 Pro just like what we got with the Hot S3. The standard Hot 6 may have a similar combination or the company may decide to go with 2GB of RAM like the Infinix Hot 5 from last year.

The Infinix Hot 6 Pro will also have 4G LTE support but I am not sure if it supports VoLTE. This is not a crucial feature but those using Faiba4G may want to know that.

This is what we know about the soon to be announced Infinix Hot 6 Pro, we will update you with more information if and when we get it.
