The OPPO F5 is the latest smartphone from the company to be unveiled in Kenya. The phone is currently available on pre-order and will officially go on sale on November 28 for Ksh 31,990. The F5 is the company’s latest camera-centric device and comes with a 20MP camera with AI beauty technology that the company says will personalize the beautification of subjects according to the facial features and the surrounding environment.
The OPPO F5 is here to replace the OPPO F3 that we looked at a couple of months ago. There are some clear differences when you compare the two devices and the design is one of them. OPPO is embracing a new design with an 18:9 aspect ratio with an almost bezel-less display and I am impressed so far. That aside, the other specs of the phone are quite impressive as you can see below.

As you can see from the specifications above, the OPPO F5 looks good on paper. It is a camera phone and that is why you get the 20MP selfie camera. From the few minutes I spent with the phone, I can confirm that it is really good.
As we have also listed above, the phone will come in two variants, a 4GB model and a 6GB model. They share most of the other specs except for the RAM and storage space. The 6GB model will also be available in Red and is my favourite colour at this point.
For Ksh 32,000, I think the OPPO F5 is a good deal. It looks good and better than the other phones from OPPO. I will try and get a review unit to see if the phone lives up to the hype. As we wait for the review unit, check out our YouTube channel here for more review videos that we will be uploading.
