Do you have Ksh 60,000 and are looking for ways to spend it? If yes, you may want to check out the Nokia 8. This smartphone was unveiled back in August and it has finally made its way into the Kenyan market and is available for Ksh 59,999.

The Nokia 8 is the latest smartphone from HMD and it is currently its flagship device. It joins the Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 smartphones that were announced earlier this year and are already available in the country.

HMD Global says the Nokia 8 is a high performance device that it made with creators in mind. This smartphone debuts the company’s collaboration with ZEISS optics on Android. If you know anything about Nokia smartphones, then you know that back then when the Lumia brand was still active, ZEISS optics were used on most of the flagship Lumia devices. This latest move brings that to Android and I am sure photographers out there will appreciate the move.

The Nokia 8 has an aluminium unibody that HMD says “represents all the hallmarks of a true flagship Nokia smartphone.”

The Nokia 8 introduces a world-first in enabling Dual-Sight video to be livestreamed natively and in real-time to social feeds such as Facebook and YouTube. Dual-Sight simultaneously harnesses both the front and rear cameras in a split screen visual for both photos and videos. With just one touch, this world-first livestream capability gives more immersive experiences for those who love to create and share special memories.

Nokia 8 is also the first smartphone to feature Nokia OZO Audio, placing exclusive Hollywood technology in the palm of your hand. OZO spatial 360° audio brings a fully immersive audio experience to your 4K video. Leading-edge 360° audio capture ensures the playback lets you truly relive the moment so your memories never fade.

Joseph Umunakwe, General Manager of HMD Global: West, East and Central Africa, said:

“We know that fans are creating and sharing live content more than ever before, with millions of photos and videos shared every minute on social media. People are inspired by the content they consume and are looking for new ways to create their own. It’s these people who have inspired us to craft a flagship smartphone which perfectly balances premium design, an outstanding experience and powerful performance.”
