When it comes to releasing new software updates, most smartphone manufactures tend to stick with their flagship and a few mid-range devices. Some manufactures even choose to ignore their mid-range devices completely and concentrate on the premium ones.

Samsung isn’t ignoring its mid-range devices and the company is currently pushing out Android 7.0 Nougat to the Galaxy A3 (2016). The update has just been pushed out to users in Germany and we expect it in other regions very soon. This update is about 950MB in size so make sure you have a reliable internet connection before you start updating your device.

This is an over the air (OTA) update and as usual it will take time before every individual using the phone will get a notification informing them that the update is available for their unit. If you want to know if the update is available, head over to the Settings page to find that option. If not, just sit back and wait for the notification.

Android Nougat for the Galaxy A3 (2016) comes a little over a month after the company pushed it out to the Galaxy A5 (2016). Samsung seems committed to supporting its mid-range devices with new updates. We don’t know which devices are next, maybe the J series?
