Tecno’s Flagship Smartphone for 2016 To Come in Two Variants, The Phantom 6 And Phantom 6 Plus

We have seen many smartphones from Tecno this year but the one I have been waiting for is the flagship, the Phantom 6, that will be launched very soon. I used the Phantom 5 last year and was impressed so am excited to see how Tecno tops it.

As for what the company is planning with the Phantom 6, am getting information that there will be two variants, the standard Phantom 6 and the Phantom 6 Plus. Am still yet to get the screen size of the standard Phantom 6 but the Phantom 6 Plus will have a bigger 5.95 inch display. This is the same size as the Infinix Note 2. Compared to the Phantom 5, the Phantom 6 is slimmer which is something I would love to see.

As for the camera, the standard Phantom 6 will have dual camera setup at the back. We have seen this setup from other manufacturer including the Huawei P9. I still don’t have information about the Megapixels of the back or front facing cameras of the standard Phantom 6 but I will try to get that information and update you. The Phantom 6 Plus will not have two cameras at the back, just one 21MP unit which isn’t that bad if you think about it. There is no info on the front facing camera but my guess is that it will be an 8MP one.

The Phantom 6 Plus will also have a fingerprint sensor at the back which will not be available on the standard Phantom 6. To replace the fingerprint sensor on the standard Phantom 6, Tecno is including and an eye scanner. I would have preferred a fingerprint sensor over an eye scanner as it can be used for a lot more than just unlocking the phone.

Both variants will come with USB Type-C ports.

The information shared above is everything I know about the Tecno Phantom 6 and 6 Plus at the moment. Keep it here to get more information about this phone as we get it. The Phantom 5 was unveiled in September last year and I expect the Phantom 6 to be unveiled around that time so we have about two months to go.
