We have been hearing about Huawei’s next flagship smartphone, the Huawei P9 for the better part of this year. The one thing that we have heard about this smartphone that has been particularly interesting is its dual camera setup. This has been one of the main things surrounding the leaks about the Huawei P9 but the company did not confirm it until now.

The company released the first official teaser of the Huawei P9 last week and this is when we got a ‘confirmation’ about the dual camera setup. Of course the company did not reveal this but you can clearly deduce that from the teaser image the company shared. Check out the teaser image the company shared.

Huawei did not reveal the specs of the P9 but we have already seen some of these specs online for the past one month. The leaks point out that the P9 will have a 5.2 inch display with a resolution of 1080p. Powering this phone will be the Kirin 950 processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage space.

As for the camera, the Huawei P9 will have a 12MP camera at the back and a 5MP front facing camera. It is still not clear how the dual camera setup will function but that is something that will be made clear during the launch. Am personally excited about this setup and lest hope it is functional and relevant.

For the battery. The Huawei P9 will come with a 3,000 mAh which will get you through your day with much ease. It will come with Android 6.1 Marshmallow with EMUI on top. As for price, the P9 is expected to retail at $500 (approximately Ksh 51,000).

Huawei is expected to unveil the P9 on April 6 alongside the P9 Lite and the P9 Max.
