One of the cheapest smartphones under Ksh 10,000 that you can get in Kenya right now is the Cubot P11. This smartphone has been around for a few months and is one of the best smartphones you can get if you don’t want to spend too much money on one device. You can get the phone on Kilimall from as low as Ksh 8,500.
Below is a look at the specifications and features of the Cubot P11.

Design and Display
The Cubot P11 is an entry level smartphone and its design communicates that. It doesn’t feel cheap but doesn’t feel premium either. I really like its back cover which has a crystal-like feel to it. The phone has a 5 inch display that makes it easy to hold on one hand. The display has a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, this translates with a pixel density of 294ppi. This display is quite bright and you can easily see what is on it even under direct sunlight.
The Cubot P11 is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6580 processor. This is a 32bit processor and is coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage space. This space is expanded using a microSD card. As for the graphics, it has the Mali 400 multi core GPU.
The Cubot P11 has a 13MP camera at the back with a 5MP one in front. Both these cameras can take very decent photos if the lighting is good. In my short experience with this phone, I noticed that the back camera is a bit slow but not too slow. This is not something you can complain considering that it is an entry level device.
The Cubot P11 has a 2200 mAh battery that is quite disappointing in today’s standards. With this battery, you will be lucky if you go through the whole day without charging up the phone.
