The Infinix Zero 3 is the latest smartphone from the company to be launched in the country. This is the first smartphone officially launched in Kenya in 2016 and comes packing some amazing specification and features.

I got my hands on the Infinix Zero 3 and though I should give you guys my first impressions of it.

    Infinix Zero 3 Packaging

The Zero 2’s packaging is similar to what the company used on the Infinix Zero 2 that was launched last year. The packaging shows what a premium device this is from both the exterior to how the accessories are arranged inside. When you open the box for the first time, you clearly see that this is a flagship device.

I really love the way Infinix presents the Zero 3, it stands out from most of the devices you find on the market with non-impressive packaging.

    And here it is!!

With the packaging out of the way, the first thing you will see is the phone. The design of the Infinix Zero 3 resembles that of the Hot 2 to some extent which I was not sure I liked the first time I saw it. I would have preferred if Infinix stuck with the same design used in the Zero 2, it looked much better that way.

All in all, the design isn’t that bad. The phone feels very light and its 5.5-inch display doesn’t seem that big. The flat build and sharp edges give it a low profile and subtle look that may not attract so much attention.

You get the usual buttons (power and volume keys) on the right side with the USB port on the lower section and the headphone jack at the top. There are a couple of sensor at the front of the phone with an LED notification light and flash for the front facing camera. At the back, you get the massive 20.7MP camera from Sony. This is the main thing that makes the Infinix zero 3 very attractive if you ask me.

    Notable specs

As for the specs, the Infinix Zero 3 does not disappoint. It has a 5.5 inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels giving a pixel density of 400ppi. It is powered by a 2.0 GHz octa core (64 bit) processor with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage space. Another amazing thing about the zero 3 is that it supports 4G LTE connectivity.

At the back it has a 20.7MP camera with dual LED flash. This camera is able to shoot 4K videos, impressive if you ask me. At the front, it has a 5MP camera with flash.

For the battery, it has a 3030 mAh non removable unit.

I will have a full review of the Infinix Zero 3 a few days from now so watch out for that.
