Ever since Quick Charging technology made its way to Smartphones, users have found easier and convenient ways to keeping their devices powered. Quick charging just like the name suggest allows you to charge up your Smartphone’s battery faster that you normally would. This saves you a lot of time that you can use to do something constructive with your phone.
Qualcomm’s Quick Charge technology is only available to those using Snapdragon-based devices. This means that those using Smartphones powered by other processors like MediaTek could not enjoy this feature.
MediaTek knows this and that is why the company will introduce ‘Pump Express Plus’ feature that will make it possible for those using devices powered by its processor to charge their devices much faster.
This rapid charging technology will work with the latest processors for MediaTek including the high end version (the MT6595) and the low end version (MT6732). According to MediaTek, Pump Express Plus will be able to deliver 45% boost in charging speeds. To use this feature, you will need a special charger.
MediaTek has not said much about this technology but we should expect to know more in the future.
