Apple fans are always excited whenever the company announces new iDevice. This has been the case for a long time and the recent unveiling of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus was no different. Even though Apple will start shipping the iPhone 6 on September 19th (this Friday) some retailers are already listing the device on their websites for customers to pre-order .
In Africa, the only retailer listing the iPhone 6 is South Africa’s online giant, BidorBuy through one of its sellers who goes by the name onlinebargains.
The seller had listed 10 units and has managed to sell one unit by the time of writing this. The price for this device is not cheap at R16 499 (approximately Kshs. 135,000), this will of course come down when the device is officially unveiled. BidorBuy CEO Jaco Jonke was excited with this first sale and took to Twitter to express his excitement saying, “First iPhone 6 already sold on @bidorbuy_co_za albeit at a hefty premium. Some just got to have it now.”

Shipping on September 19 will be for a few markets with others joining the list on September 22. It is not clear when the iPhone 6 will bet to Kenya but expect it sometime from late November to mid December this year.
