Good news to all you Samsung Galaxy S4 Active owners!! Samsung has as of today started rolling out Android 4.4.2 KitKat to the Galaxy S4 Active. Android KitKat is as of now 7 months old and for Samsung to roll the update at time may be quite late compared to Sony or HTC who updated most of their Smartphones sometime back. It may be late but it is still a nice move.

This new update for the Galaxy S4 Active comes less than a week after a video surfaced online showing its successor the Galaxy S5 Active. Samsung has as usual not said much about the S5 Active but we should expect it to be unveiled anytime from now. Some of the features the Galaxy S5 Active is expected to have a 1080p display screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16MP camera.

This new update is for the international version of the Galaxy S4 Active and comes with cool features including, white status bar icons, full-screen album art,  a camera shortcut on the lock screen, , improved battery life, wireless printing support, ability to set the default messaging and launcher apps, faster performance among others.

This update has just been rolled out today and so you should be patient for the time being.
