Google Delivers On Its Promise With The Release Of Android Wear

android wear

Google revealed its plans for Android on wearables last week and promised an SDK for developers in a few weeks. The SDK will essentially allow developers to get their apps to these wearables given they are seen as the future of tech right now. This move by Google was briefly overshadowed by Samsung yesterday as it unveiled its own Tizen SDK that will allow developers to create apps for the Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo.

Google probably did not want Samsung to get all the spotlight as today, the company officially announced the Android Wear that will make it possible for developers to get their apps to wearables.

Just so you know, Google has not unveiled or promised an upcoming Smartwatch or wearable for that matter but has said it is working with Asus, HTC, LG, Motorola and Samsung to create devices. It is funny the company is working with Samsung which has been said to concentrate on Tizen when it comes to their smartwatches.

Besides all the ‘politics’, this move by Google is applaudable as Android wear will provide you with useful information when you need it most, straight answers to spoken questions, ability to better monitor your health/ fitness and enable  multiscreen displays.
