Toshiba Chromebook Goes On Sale

toshiba chromebook 2

Chromebook are popular or unpopular laptops depending on whom you ask. These laptops are mostly popular among techies and extremely unpopular among non-techies. Google has not tried that much to change this as they have been targeting more techies with their Chromebook ever since they first came out.

Successful or not, Chromebooks are here to stay. Just a few hours ago, Toshiba made their first Chromebook available to consumers but only through their website.  The Chromebook was announced at CES 2014 and is retailing at $299 (approximately Kshs. 26,000).

With this price, you will be getting a sleek high-end laptop with a silver plastic frame and 9 hours of battery life. The Chromebook has a 13.3-inch display with a resolution of 1366×768 and is powered by Intel Celeron 2955U processor. Under the hood, you get 2GB RAM, 16GB SSD, SD card ports, USB 3.0 port among others.

You can check the device for yourself on Toshiba’s website and see if it is suitable for you. Personally, I think this is a great bargain for a device like this.
