Last week, Kenya launched its first Electric Mobility (e-mobility) Draft Policy that seeks to guide the development of electric mobility in all transportation modes – road, rail, air and maritime. The policy will provide a transition framework from the use of conventional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles. The draft policy was developed by the National Electric Mobility Task Force. NCBA Group has posted a profit after tax of KES 21.5 billion in its Full Year 2023 results which is a 56 per cent increase compared to KES 13.8 billion reported during a similar period in 2022. The growth trajectory for the Group remained solid driven by positive operating income and a decline in loan impairment charges by 29.9 per cent year on year.
