Westcon-Comstor has announced a multi-region distribution agreement with Sonar to help organisations securely adopt AI across their software development workflows.
The partnership covers channel partners across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Asia-Pacific (APAC). With this partnership, Sonar’s core SonarQube platform will be available through Westcon-Comstor’s partner network.
SonarQube provides automated code verification designed to help development and security teams identify and remediate vulnerabilities, exposed secrets and other code issues before software reaches production.
According to Sonar research, users of SonarQube are 44% less likely to report production outages linked to AI-generated code. Sonar also says maintaining code quality can reduce token usage by 7–8%. Further savings are possible when AI agents are provided with governed context.
Helping partners secure AI-assisted development
The agreement will also introduce partners to Sonar’s Agent Centric Development Cycle (AC/DC) methodology, which is built around a “Guide-Verify-Solve” approach.
The model encourages organisations to guide AI agents with appropriate context and constraints. They are also able to verify their output through feedback loops and resolve issues before they become production risks.
Sonar has also expanded its capabilities through its acquisition of Gitar, adding AI-powered code review to its broader code verification platform.
“Sonar is a recognised leader in its field, and this collaboration represents both a compelling commercial opportunity and a strategic technology play for the channel,” said Adam Davison, Senior Director, Vendor Acquisition at Westcon-Comstor.
Davison added that the rapid adoption of AI-assisted development and the shift toward addressing security earlier in the development lifecycle are creating new opportunities for channel partners.
“Organisations are embracing AI to accelerate software development, but speed only creates value if teams can trust what gets shipped,” said Scott Musson, VP of Worldwide Channel at Sonar.
Westcon-Comstor will provide partners with technical enablement, market intelligence and lead-generation support in addition to assistance with customer adoption, expansion and renewals.
