JuiceMe has announced the acquisition of Ajiraworks, a compliance-focused employment company operating across the UK and Kenya.
As part of the deal, Ajiraworks founder Catherine Ochako joins JuiceMe as Global Director of Employer of Record (EOR), as well as a board member and shareholder. The acquisition brings with it tested compliance systems, operational infrastructure and cross-border employment intellectual property directly into JuiceMe’s core operations.

The company gains immediate access to infrastructure that typically takes years to develop just by integrating Ajiraworks’ existing systems and partnerships.
Ajiraworks was designed to address key barriers companies face when expanding into African markets. These include fragmented regulatory environments, inconsistent payroll systems and limited local operational frameworks. Its compliance models and market-entry playbooks are now set to form the backbone of JuiceMe’s expanded EOR offering.
Ochako brings over a decade of experience in cross-border employment, having previously built and scaled an EOR function across 29 markets. Her experience spans managing distributed teams across the UK, South Africa, Nigeria, and Kenya, with a focus on turning complex employment challenges into scalable systems.
“Often, companies focus on speed when entering new markets. But without the right structure, that growth introduces risk,” said Ochako. “The real opportunity is to build systems that allow companies to scale quickly while staying compliant and in control.”
In her new role, she will lead the development of a structured employment layer enabling companies to hire, pay, and manage talent across multiple African markets with consistency and compliance.
According to Lawrence Diamond, the acquisition is a deliberate step toward strengthening JuiceMe’s operational foundation across Africa.
“Bringing Ajiraworks into JuiceMe is a deliberate move to accelerate what we’re building across Africa. Catherine and her team have already solved many of the hardest operational and compliance challenges in cross-border employment,” he said.
Sandile Dlamini added that cross-border hiring on the continent remains more complex than many companies anticipate, making proven infrastructure critical.
“Catherine brings not just a wealth of expertise, but real infrastructure—tested compliance systems, operational processes, and local market knowledge developed over years of execution,” Dlamini said.
