Wimbart has launched a new service called Wimbart Lite that aims to support pre-seed and early-stage startups that have raised under $1 million.

The new offering is designed for founders and early teams that may not need full-scale, long-term PR retainers but still require professional communications support around key milestones such as product launches, partnerships and fundraising.

To lead the new division, Wimbart has promoted Maria Adediran, Associate Director and a founding team member, to Head of Wimbart Lite. In her new role, Adediran will oversee strategy, new business, and delivery standards for the unit.

Wimbart Lite takes a menu-based, service-led approach structured around three core packages:

    • Milestone Announcement Pack – covering press releases and media outreach for launches and company updates
    • Founder Profile Pack – focused on thought leadership through op-eds and interview pitching
    • Fundraise Pack – coordinated communications for early-stage funding rounds, with a 15% discount for VC portfolio companies

According to Wimbart Founder and CEO Jessica Hope, the service was built to meet the evolving needs of Africa’s startup ecosystem.

“As the market has matured, early-stage teams are being scrutinised much earlier. Wimbart Lite exists for founders who don’t need full-scale PR support but still need to get a credible story out into the ecosystem,” she said.

Adediran brings over a decade of experience across corporate and consumer PR, having led campaigns for high-growth African companies and investors including Andela, M-KOPA, TLcom and Kobo360.

“I joined Wimbart when a $1M raise felt like a massive milestone for the entire ecosystem. Today, early traction and storytelling matter more than ever. Wimbart Lite turns real work into a story people can understand and trust,” she said.
