Nutanix has appointed Marco Vieira to be the Regional Sales Manager for the Southern African Development Community (SADC).

Vieira has over 20 years of experience in enterprise technology and cloud solutions and will lead Nutanix’s commercial strategy across Southern Africa. He will help organizations modernize infrastructure, simplify operations and enhance business resilience through flexible hybrid multicloud platforms.

“Marco’s market knowledge and leadership make him ideal to lead our next phase of growth in SADC,” said Raif Abou Diab, Country Manager South Gulf and Sub-Saharan Africa at Nutanix. “Southern Africa plays a critical role in Africa’s digital growth story, with organizations seeking high-performance, cost-effective IT solutions in an increasingly complex market. Marco’s understanding of customer needs and partner networks will strengthen our position as the trusted choice for hybrid multicloud innovation.”

Marco Vieira previously contributed to Nutanix’s regional growth as a Territory Manager before holding senior roles at Datacentrix and Hewlett Packard Enterprise. In his new role, he aims to expand Nutanix’s partner ecosystem, deepen customer engagement and help businesses capitalize on cloud investments, AI adoption and application modernization.

“I’m excited to take on this role at a critical time for the region,” said Vieira. “Organizations across Southern Africa are re-evaluating IT strategies, seeking modern, cost-efficient platforms that provide freedom of choice. My focus will be working with partners and customers to unlock opportunities and deliver real value through hybrid multicloud and AI-ready infrastructure.”
