CANAL+ and its subsidiary, SuperSport, have announced that the the broadcasters will provide coverage in French, English, Portuguese and local African languages for the upcoming TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025.
The tournament, starting 21 December 2025 in Morocco, will be available across multiple platforms: DStv and GOtv for SuperSport and CANAL+ Sport and the CANAL+ app for digital viewers. Fans in East Africa will enjoy Swahili commentary, while Nigerian viewers can choose English or Pidgin. South African audiences will have options including isiZulu and Setswana.
“Broadcasting in different languages allows us to bring African football closer to the people,” said David Mignot, CEO of CANAL+ Africa. Rendani Ramovha, MultiChoice’s Director of Sport Content for English and Portuguese-speaking Africa, added that SuperSport will launch a dedicated AFCON channel, promising fans a comprehensive and personalized viewing experience.
The coverage also highlights tech-driven broadcast innovations. These include multi-language audio streams and on-demand digital access. These allow fans to follow every match with commentary in their preferred language.
