TikTok has released its Community Guidelines Enforcement Report for the second quarter of 2025. The report revealed that more than 592,000 videos were removed in Kenya between April and June this year.
According to the report, 92.9 percent of the videos taken down in Kenya were removed before they were viewed. 96.3 percent of the videos were taken down within 24 hours of being posted. The company said this shows the growing impact of its automated systems, which rely on artificial intelligence and human moderation to detect content that violates its rules.
Globally, TikTok removed over 189 million videos during the same period. This figure represents just 0.7 percent of all content uploaded to the platform. The company said 99.1 percent of these removals were detected proactively, and 163.9 million videos were automatically flagged and deleted by AI systems.
TikTok also cracked down on fake and underage accounts. During the quarter, over 76.9 million fake accounts were deleted, alongside 25.9 million accounts suspected to belong to users under 13 years old.
The company said that by combining advanced technology with the work of its global trust and safety team, it can identify and remove harmful or misleading content faster and more consistently.
For the first time, TikTok also shared information about its efforts to enforce rules for LIVE monetization. These guidelines aim to ensure creators who earn from TikTok LIVE do so while following safety and authenticity standards.
TikTok took action on more than 2.3 million LIVE sessions and over one million creators who violated monetization rules between April and June 2025. In most cases, creators received warnings to give them a chance to correct their behavior before stricter actions were taken.
TikTok said it continues to encourage its community to report harmful or inappropriate content directly through the app. The company believes that community reporting, combined with automated moderation, helps build a digital environment where users can create and share freely while staying safe.
