Cross Switch has partnered with Pesawise to officially enter the Kenyan market.

The partnership merges Cross Switch’s global payment infrastructure with Pesawise’s deep local market expertise. This has resulted in a seamless, secure, and scalable payment solution. The solution is built to meet the different needs of Kenyan businesses from hospitality and e-commerce to nonprofits and even delivery services.

“We’re thrilled to take this next step in our journey with Cross Switch as our technology partner,” said Jamal Khan, CEO of Pesawise. “Their robust tech stack and global experience will enable us to provide truly tailored solutions for Kenya’s digital-first economy.”

Cross Switch enables businesses to accept payments across major channels including Visa, Mastercard, AmEx, mobile money, and bank transfers through a single, unified platform. With this solution, businesses can reduce transaction costs, speed up settlement times, and make payment processing easier for everyone.

With consumers shifting toward cashless payments, merchants need tools that are simple, secure and built for scale. The Cross Switch-Pesawise partnership gives businesses access a solution that checks all those boxes and is backed by Tier-1 bank compliance and regulatory oversight from the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK).

The Cross Switch platform is already being used in multiple regions, including Africa and Latin America. Great adoption has been seen among merchants in hospitality, logistics, crypto (in approved markets), and social impact sectors. The Kenyan rollout has has seen early adopters like Glovo Kenya,

“It’s refreshing to find shared values with Pesawise—particularly the commitment to democratizing technology and driving social impact,” said Tim Davis, CEO of Cross Switch. “Their exceptional team and local agility are the perfect match for our mission in Africa.”

By partnering with Pesawise, Cross Switch is showing its intent to grow with the local market, not just in it.

This partnership also reflects a growing trend in the continent’s payments space where global fintechs qre collaborating with compliant local players to access local markets while staying aligned with regulatory demands.
