Binance is celebrating International Women’s Day (IWD) 2025 with a special event in Nairobi, Kenya, designed to promote financial empowerment and increase female participation in crypto.

Taking place on 8 March 2025 in the suburb of Nairobi, the event will bring together 300 women from the local community for a transformative afternoon focused on crypto education, financial independence, and networking. The event will feature educational workshops, panel discussions, and opportunities to connect with local female leaders in the blockchain and crypto space.

Binance is hosting community gatherings across five continents that will connect women, showcase inspiring stories, provide learning opportunities, and encourage newcomers to take their first steps into the world of digital assets.

In addition to the Nairobi event, the other global events will take place from March 5-15 in ten locations around the world: Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), Dubai (UAE), Milan (Italy), Madrid (Spain), Cape Town (South Africa), Buenos Aires (Argentina), São Paulo (Brazil), Mexico City (Mexico), Lomé (Togo), and Astana (Kazakhstan).

“Binance remains a leader in driving gender diversity across crypto and tech. Women now represent 40% of our workforce and half of our marketing team,” said Rachel Conlan, Binance CMO. “While progress has been made, there is still work to be done to usher more women into crypto. Through our International Women’s Day events, we aim to celebrate and inspire women, fostering financial empowerment and breaking down barriers to industry knowledge and participation.”

The initiative reflects Binance’s ongoing efforts to make cryptocurrency more inclusive and accessible to everyone. These events are part of a larger mission to reduce gender disparities in blockchain and Web3 through hands-on education and community support.
