Westcon-Comstor has announced that it has become an official distributor of Microsoft cloud solutions across Africa.

The announcement of the pan-Africa distribution agreement follows a successful collaboration between Westcon-Comstor and Microsoft in southern Africa over the past 16 years.

Under the newly-expanded agreement, Westcon-Comstor will distribute key Microsoft tools and solutions including Azure, Modern Work, security and Microsoft 365 business apps to a network of IT channel partners across the continent.

These partners – spanning technology resellers, systems integrators and managed service providers – will benefit from Westcon-Comstor’s value-added services such as education, enablement and training as they drive adoption of Microsoft solutions among end-user businesses, from enterprises to SMBs.

Meanwhile, Westcon-Comstor’s data-driven approach will empower partners to use statistical insights and analysis to identify new customers and grow their revenue. Ultimately, the agreement will ensure that more African businesses have access to Microsoft’s world-leading suite of technology applications.

Westcon-Comstor has offices in nine African countries. It is this geographic footprint – along with the distributor’s technical expertise and data-driven approach – that led to the expansion of its collaboration with Microsoft to cover the entire continent.

“It’s hugely exciting to become an official Microsoft distributor for the whole of Africa,” said Vincent Entonu, Managing Director, Westcon-Comstor Africa. “We look forward to rewarding the faith that Microsoft has placed in us by driving accelerated growth for them and our partners across the continent.”

“For more than a decade we’ve had a very positive and mutual beneficial relationship with Microsoft within southern Africa,” said Louise Taute, Managing Director, Westcon-Comstor Southern Africa. “The expansion across Africa is testament to the value that my team has added over the years, along with our ongoing ability as a business to demonstrate the strategic role that distribution plays in the African technology ecosystem.”
