Samsung has launched its first ever experience store in Meru today. The store, dubbed Generations, is located in Greenwood City Mall. This move by Samsung is aimed at ensuring technology penetration, and access to quality premium smartphones across the country. It is a strategic move that has followed the launch of nine other Samsung Experience Stores (SES) in the East African Region.

Using this store, Samsung wants to ensure that all customers in Meru have the opportunity to explore and experience a variety of Samsung products first-hand; from mobile devices, including Samsung flagship Galaxy series, foldables, wearables, accessories and home appliances. It wants to guarantee the people of Meru access to the whole Galaxy ecosystem and to promote smart living.

“We are excited to open our first Samsung Experience Store in Meru. The Generations store will allow us to connect with our customers in a more meaningful way and showcase the latest innovations from Samsung. It also highlights our commitment to bringing cutting-edge technology closer to our customers. We believe that by providing access to our premium products, we can enhance the lives of the people in Meru and support their technological needs.” stated Derrick Alenga, Retail Manager, Mobile Experience Division at Samsung Electronics East Africa.

The Generations store in Greenwood City Mall features interactive displays and knowledgeable staff to assist customers in exploring Samsung’s products. It aims to provide a unique shopping experience, allowing customers to engage with the devices, get personalized device consultations and after-sales support. This will strengthen its foothold in Meru and provide customers with a world-class shopping experience.

Samsung’s expansion into Meru is part of a broader strategy to increase its presence in key markets across Kenya and the East African region. It will further grow its current Kenyan smartphone market share from 31.7%. By opening the Generations store, Samsung expects the store to contribute significantly to its sales growth in the region, further solidifying its position as a leading technology brand in Kenya.
