SEACOM and Forefront have announced a partnership with Cloudflare that aims to enhance cybersecurity resilience across Africa by providing Cloudflare’s industry-leading security services to businesses across the continent who are looking to modernise their infrastructure.

On this announcement, Sajid Khan, SEACOM’s Group Managing Director for Digital Services says that “this partnership marks an exciting new addition to our product portfolio by providing cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions to our clients.” By collaborating with Cloudflare, a respected name in the industry, SEACOM is committed to bringing innovative products to market while ensuring that our clients have access to the best security tools available.

Graham Turnbull, Account Executive at Cloudflare, marked this announcement by expressing that “Cloudflare is proud to partner with SEACOM to enhance connectivity, performance, and cybersecurity across Africa. SEACOM’s extensive network infrastructure provides a strong foundation for delivering Cloudflare’s solutions, including advanced security and zero-trust services, through the Managed Services Programme. Together, we’re empowering African businesses with world-class internet and security services.”

Cloudflare is a leading connectivity cloud company on a mission to help build a better Internet. It empowers organisations to make their employees, applications and networks faster and more secure everywhere, while reducing complexity and cost. Cloudflare’s connectivity cloud delivers the most full-featured, unified platform of cloud-native products and developer tools, so any organisation can gain the control they need to work, develop, and accelerate their business.

Every Cloudflare product runs in each of their 330+ points of presence (PoPs) globally. With over 40 PoPs across Africa and three in South Africa (CPT, DUR, JNB), the Cloudflare network allows businesses to achieve zero trade-off between security and performance.

    CLOUDFLARE AS A MANAGED SERVICE

SEACOM clients will have access to a range of Cloudflare tools at their disposal, all as managed services. These include optimisations, integrations, health checks, as well as local support provided by teams certified on the Cloudflare portfolio. “We are committed to providing best-in-class Cloudflare services and local support, having our expert teams work closely alongside SEACOM, a leader in the region for Enterprise connectivity,” says Ilyas Esmail, CEO at Forefront.

This partnership represents a powerful step forward in empowering African businesses to operate securely and resiliently in an ever-evolving cyber landscape, with more services and solutions to come in the coming months.
