Showmax has teamed up with Safaricom for some exciting news for football fans. It is offering a discounted rate for streaming the English Premier League (on mobile) for only Ksh 450 per month. In addition to this, users will also get 3GB of data bundled in the deal to enhance their viewing experience.

This isn’t the first collaboration between these two companies. They have previously worked together to offer discounted rates and data deals for their customers. For instance, last year, Showmax provided an offer of one extra month free for subscribers who paid for one month.

At Ksh 450, Showmax subscribers will save Ksh 50 on the EPL package, which normally costs Ksh 500 per month. This is a good deal and the 3GB of data added on top makes it even better.

Speaking during the launch event, Nzola Miranda, Managing Director, MultiChoice Kenya noted: “Today is a significant milestone in Kenyan entertainment landscape. Two industry giants, in telecommunications and entertainment will from today deliver unparalleled convenience and value to our customers. This partnership underscores our commitment to offering world-class content while leveraging Safaricom’s innovative technology.”

On his part, Peter Ndegwa, Chief Executive Officer, Safaricom noted: “This strategic partnership between Safaricom and MultiChoice marks a significant milestone in how our customers will access premium content from the comfort of their homes or smartphones.”

He added: “As a digital lifestyle enabler, we are keen to leverage our extensive 4G and 5G network, as well as increasing uptake of home fibre, to bring a whole world of entertainment to our customers.”
