Bolt has selected 120 participants for its Accelerator Program in Kenya. They were selected after an intensive evaluation process as they have innovative ideas and commitment to shaping sustainable transportation solutions making the cut.

The next phase of the program is the Bolt Academy where the applicants will go through a comprehensive one-month online business training in partnership with Alison, a leading online training platform. The training is designed to equip them with the skills needed to seize future career opportunities.

Participants will be trained in a number of courses from Digital Marketing to Leadership Skills, Project Management, Customer Relationship Management, Entrepreneurship and Communication Skills as it pertains to helping them sharpen their skills.

The top 20 participants will also get additional exclusive training sessions led by seasoned entrepreneurs and personalized mentoring sessions to further refine their ventures. The top 20 participants will take part in the Business Pitch Day scheduled for July where the top 10 get seed funding of €2000 each as well as mentoring support to nurture their ventures to fruition.

Caroline Wanjihia, Bolt’s Regional Director of Rides for Africa, said: “We are pleased to unveil the selection of the 120 exceptional individuals who will commence the next phase of the accelerator program, which will involve mentorship and online business training in conjunction with one of the leading online training platforms, Alison. The great response we received from over 800 applicants underscores the ambition and talent within our driver community. As a company, we are not solely fostering business growth; we are also committed to empowering and creating greater opportunities for our key partners on our platform.”
