    HiiL’s Justice Accelerator Programme 2024 calls innovative minds in Africa to apply to be part of the programme. The call for applications is now open until April 4, 2024.

    The HiiL Justice Accelerator Programme offers a 4-month journey to selected startups, equipping them with essential tools and resources:

    1. €10,000 Non-Equity Funding: Seed funding without the burden of equity dilution.
    2. Expert Workshops: Industry specialists deliver workshops covering diverse topics, from impact measurement to marketing, commercial strategy, and financial modeling.
    3. Dedicated Coaching and Mentorship Network: Each startup gains a dedicated coach and access to a network of expert mentors, fostering growth and development.
    4. Global Network Exposure: Connect with HiiL’s global network of justice stakeholders and practitioners, opening doors to international exposure and potential investment opportunities.
    5. Demo Day Chance: The pinnacle of the programme, Demo Day, provides a platform to present solutions, with a chance to win up to €20,000.

    Who are the Game-Changers in 2024?

    The Justice Accelerator is actively seeking startups from Kenya, alongside MENA and Nigeria, with specific criteria:

    1. People-Centered Solutions: Innovations that prevent or resolve justice problems, particularly those aligned with the Justice Needs and Satisfaction surveys.
    2. Functioning Product with Traction: Startups with a proven track record, demonstrating user engagement, revenue, and customer demand.
    3. Strong Team: A formidable team of founders committed to driving change.
    4. Revenue Model: Clear articulation of a sustainable revenue model.
    5. Ambition to Scale: Startups with the vision to scale beyond immediate markets.

    Focus Areas for Kenya in 2024

    The accelerator zeroes in on challenges identified in the Justice Needs and Satisfaction surveys:

    1. Crime: Innovative solutions to tackle crime-related issues.
    2. mSMEs: Support for Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises.
    3. Sexual Gender-Based Violence (SGBV): Solutions addressing SGBV challenges.
