Xiaomi has today officially unveiled the Redmi Note 13 Series in the Kenyan market. The Redmi Note is the company’s most popular series globally. In Kenya, this series will have the standard Redmi Note 13, Redmi Note 13 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G. The phones will be available for Ksh 27,499, Ksh 41,999 and Ksh 73,999 respectively.

These phones are really good and my favourite is the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G. The price is a bit high compared to what the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G was available for. You can blame the depreciating shilling for this price hike. The Note 12 Pro+ 5G is still a good phone even though its successor has been launched so you can still get that if you want this series but are not willing to spend so much on it.

    120Hz AMOLED Display

All Redmi Note 13 devices come with 6.67 inch AMOLED displays with 120Hz refresh rate. Having 120Hz refresh rate on all devices in the series including the most affordable one is commendable. The Pro+ 5G has a slightly curved display which gives it a slightly better look.

The camera is one of the other features that stand out for me with the Redmi Note 13 Series. The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G and Redmi Note 13 Pro each come with a 200 MP camera at the back. Both Devices support OIS with 2x/4x lossless zoom. The base model on the other hand is has a 108MP main camera with 3x lossless zoom.

Besides the main cameras, all Redmi Note 13 Devices come with 8MP ultra-wide camera and 2MP macro cameras, and a 16MP selfie cameras.

Powering the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G is the MediaTek Dimensity 7200-Ultra chipset while the Redmi Note 13 Pro is comes with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. The base model has the Snapdragon 685. Available RAM options for all devices range from 6,8 and 12GB while storage is either 256 or 512 GB.

    Redmi Note 13 Battery

For the battery, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G has a 5000 mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging. On the other hand, the Redmi Note Pro has a 5100 mAh battery that supports 67W charging. The base model Redmi Note 13 has a 5000 mAh battery that supports 33W charging.
