OPPO Kenya is set to launch the Reno11 Series on January 25, 2024. The Reno11 series comes with ColorOS 14 and the launch marks a significant milestone as OPPO ColorOS celebrates its 10th anniversary. The Reno11 is the successor to the Reno10 series that I reviewed last year.

ColorOS 14, built on the Android 14 platform, introduces a host of new features aimed at delivering a seamless and efficient experience for users. Among the highlights are the optimized Aquamorphic Design, AI-powered smart features, ultra-smooth performance, and robust tools for safety and privacy.

The OPPO Reno11 Series promises to push the boundaries of technology with advancements in imaging, battery life, and design. A standout feature is the telephoto zoom function incorporated into the new ColorOS 14. This enhancement aims to deliver a better imaging experience for users.

The Reno11 Series boasts a powerful camera system, including a 50MP Ultra-Clear Main Camera with OIS, a 32MP telephoto camera with 2x telephoto zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a wide 112º field of view. The Ultra-Clear Portrait Camera System ensures that users can capture studio-quality portraits with a human-eye perspective.

To boost efficiency, ColorOS 14 leverages AI-powered smart features. The Smart Touch feature allows users to seamlessly select and organize content from both system and third-party apps, making it easy to manage files and notes. The new File Dock on the Smart Sidebar facilitates content sharing across apps through split-screen, floating windows, or the Dock itself.

ColorOS 14 also introduces Smart Image Matting, enabling users to crop and edit multiple subjects like people and animals from a single image or video. This feature adds a creative touch to personalizing wallpapers or posters.

The core experience of performance is addressed through the upgraded Trinity Engine in ColorOS 14. This engine efficiently manages computing resources, memory, and storage, ensuring fast and stable performance. Key features include ROM Vitalization, RAM Vitalization, and CPU Vitalization, providing enhanced performance, storage optimization, and longer battery life.

“After years of R&D upgrades and positive feedback from millions of users, ColorOS has reached a certain level of maturity today and is serving more than 600 million monthly active users worldwide. New development in the latest ColorOS 14 such as smart imaging Aquamorphic Design, AI-powered smart features, privacy and security, we believe users will get a new and efficient operating system” said Fredrique Achieng, PR Manager OPPO Kenya.

OPPO hasn’t shared much about this phone including its price but we will get that information in the coming weeks.
