Samsung Galaxy S24 Series Unpacked Event Scheduled for January 17

Samsung GalaxyS24 Unpacked 2024

Samsung has confirmed the date for its next Unpacked event scheduled for January 2024.  The event will see the unveiling of the Galaxy S24 series and will take place on January 17.

The Galaxy S24 Unpacked event will begin at 9 PM Kenyan time or 6 PM GMT. This is the first major event by Samsung this year but we do not expect any major upgraded compared to the S23 series. The S23 is a very good series and Samsung has opted to keep some of its key specifications. We may also see the Exynos chip on the international variants like those that will be launching in Kenya. Not everyone will be happy with this considering that the US Galaxy S24 model will be getting the flashy Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.

Samsung will not change the S series design with the Galaxy S24 series. We are getting almost exactly what we had with the S23 series. These incremental changes are meant to keep the line alive and targets those who have the S20, S21 and even S22 devices. If you have the S23, there is no need to upgrade to the S24. You are better off waiting for the S25 or the Flip devices later this year.

The software experience will see some key changes as One UI 6.1 will come with Samsung’s generative AI. According to reports, this should help with better night mode photography, live translation during calls and a few extra optimization options.

Some of the other key specs have been floating online you can see below.

I am excited to see the final product on launch date and hopefully I will get a unit to review.
