The Xiaomi Redmi Redmi A2+ was launched in Kenya a few months back and is now available in stores for Ksh 12,799. You can get the phone through Jumia as well as from most other smartphone retailers across the country. This is one of the affordable devices from Xiaomi to launch in the country this year and is the successor to the Redmi A1+ that was launched in Kenya last year.

The Redmi A2+ comes with some slight upgrades compared to its predecessor. The entry level smartphone segment in Kenya has not seen that many device launches this year. For some reason, most of the smartphones that have launched in Kenya this year have been over Ksh 20,000. It looked like manufacturers have neglected the under 15K segment that in my opinion is the most important.

It comes with the MediaTek Helio G36 processor, has an 8MP main camera at the back and has a 5,000 mAh battery. These are decent specs for a smartphone within its price range.

Have a look at the other Redmi A2+ specs.
