The Africa Money and DeFi Summit has proudly announced its partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS), a subsidiary of Amazon.com. This alliance marks a significant step towards accelerating digital transformation in Africa and nurturing its thriving tech ecosystem.

Amazon Web Services, recognized as a Gartner Cloud Infrastructure and Platform Services (CIPS) Magic Quadrant leader for an impressive 12 consecutive years, brings a wealth of expertise and innovation to the table. AWS’s extensive experience in cloud computing, machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI), and web development will serve as a catalyst for African entrepreneurs and startups seeking to redefine the continent’s digital landscape.

Lawrence Muthoga, Startup Account Executive, Sub-Saharan Africa at Amazon Web Services, expressed enthusiasm about this collaboration, stating, “Africa has leap-frogged in the financial space. This is due to the great impact had by the amazing startups and ecosystem players who have taken it upon themselves to improve the lives of the communities around them. AWS is honored to share in this process and dive deeper into what we have seen working around the globe and in Africa.”

    Unveiling the Masterclass

As part of this groundbreaking partnership, AWS will host an engaging masterclass session that is set to be a highlight of the upcoming Africa Money and DeFi Summit. Participants can anticipate gaining invaluable insights into emerging trends such as Machine Learning, AI, and how to accelerate their Web3 journey on AWS’s cutting-edge platform.

Scheduled for October 3rd and 4th, 2023, at the prestigious Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra, Ghana, the Africa Money and DeFi Summit is poised to be a game-changing event. The summit promises an immersive experience with interactive masterclass sessions, panel discussions, fireside chats, and ample networking opportunities.

One of the event’s standout features is the dedicated meeting zone designed to foster invaluable interactions between entrepreneurs and investors. Additionally, the Investment Showcase will provide a prominent platform for innovative ventures from across the continent to pitch their solutions to potential backers.

Andrew Fassnidge, founder of the Africa Money and DeFi Summit, emphasized the transformative potential of cloud computing and AWS’s role in reshaping the future of fintech and Web3 in Africa. “AWS is at the forefront of this,” he stated, “and consistently pushes the boundaries of what’s possible for ventures across the continent. We are delighted to be partnering with AWS again for the Africa Money & DeFi Summit, underscoring the joint dedication to supporting African business and innovation.”
