Infinix Unveils the Hot 30 5G Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 Processor

Infinix Hot 30 5G

The Infinix Hot 30 series is one of the company’s affordable devices of 2023. I already reviewed the Infinix Hot 30 and the Hot 30 Play and was very impressed. I particularly liked the Hot 30 Play’s 6,000 mAh battery that I could easily use for up to 2 days.

Infinix is expanding the Hot 30 series and has added the Infinix Hot 30 5G to the list. The good news is that this is not just the normal Hot 30 with 5G support as there are some upgrades that can make it worth buying.

The Infinix Hot 30 was launched in India last week and it is safe to assume that we will see it in other markets including Kenya very soon. In India, the phone is listed for INR 13,499 (approximately Ksh 21,500) for the 4GB RAM model with 128GB of storage. The 8GB RAM variant with 128GB of storage will be available for INR 13,499 (approximately Ksh 23,000).

The Infinix Hot 30 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chipset which is a direct competitor to the Snapdragon 695 chipset from Qualcomm. According to MediaTek, the Dimensity 6020 supports Dual 5G, hardware accelerated noise reduction for better photos, better power efficiency and overall better performance.

The Hot 30 5G has a 6.78 inch LCD display with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. This is an upgrade compared to the standard Hot 30. The phone has a 50 MP main camera at the back paired with an AI lens. For selfies, it does come with an 8MP front facing camera.

As for the software, the Hot 30 5G comes with XOS 13 which is based on Android 13. The battery is still massive at 6,000 mAh and supports 18W charging.
