The Samsung Galaxy A14 and A24 5G Officially Launched in Kenya, Starting from Ksh 20,999

Samsung has expanded its Galaxy A series in Kenya with the launch of a number of new smartphones in the series. The company has announced the launch of the Samsung Galaxy A14, A24 5G, A34 5G and the A54 5G. Even though the company is announcing the availability of the A34 and A54, we have had these phones in Kenya for over a month now. .The Galaxy A34 is available for Ksh 43,000, while the Galaxy A54 is available for Ksh 54,000.

The phones that are new to Kenya are the Galaxy A14 and the Galaxy A24 5G. You can get both phones through Jumia starting  from Ksh 22,900 for the Galaxy A14 and Ksh 30,800 for the Galaxy A24 5G.  The prices listed are for the Galaxy A14 4G (there is a 5G option too) and the Galaxy A24 5G. 

Samsung is trying to capture the sub 30k market segment and if all goes well, they might actually do it. 

Samsung Galaxy A14 Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy A14 comes with a 6.6 inch PLS LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2408 pixels. Powering this phone is the MediaTek Helio G80 processor that has been paired with 4 or 6GB of RAM and either 64 or 128 GB of storage space. The phone also comes with Android 13 with One UI Core 5 out of the box. 

A triple camera system sits at the back with a 50MP main sensor, 5MP ultrawide sensor and a 2MP macro lens. For selfies, it does have a 13MP front facing camera. 

The Galaxy A14 also supports Bluetooth 5.1, has a side mounted fingerprint scanner and comes with a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 15W charging.

  • Storage: 128GB
  • Battery Capacity: 5,000mAh, 25W charging
  • Android 13, One UI 5.1
