Samsung has announced the Galaxy A14 4G, a new addition to its A-series smartphone lineup. The A14 4G shares some similarities with its 5G counterpart, but it has a few key differences.

    Design and Display

The Galaxy A14 4G comes with a 6.6-inch PLS LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2408 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio, which offers a pixel density of approximately 400 pixels per inch. The screen has a screen-to-body ratio of around 80.2%. The device’s dimensions are 167.7 x 78 x 9.1 mm, and it weighs 201g. The device’s back is made of plastic, as is the frame, while the front is made of glass.

    Camera

The Samsung Galaxy A14 4G has a triple camera system on the back that includes a 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture and PDAF, a 5-megapixel ultrawide camera with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 2-megapixel macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture. There is also a 13-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture for taking selfies and making video calls.

    Hardware and Software

The Samsung Galaxy A14 4G is powered by a MediaTek Helio G80 SoC, which has an octa-core processor with two Cortex-A75 cores clocked at 2.0GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. The device has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, with a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 1TB. It runs on Android 13 with One UI Core 5.

The Samsung Galaxy A14 4G supports dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by), GSM/HSPA/LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 5.1 with A2DP and LE, GPS, GALILEO, GLONASS, BDS, and QZSS. The device also comes with NFC for contactless payments.

The Samsung Galaxy A14 4G also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, proximity sensor, and compass. There is also a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is a welcome feature for users who prefer wired headphones.

    Battery and Charging

The Samsung Galaxy A14 4G comes with a 5,000mAh non-removable battery that supports 15W wired charging. The battery capacity is the same as the 5G version of the Galaxy A14, and it should provide ample power to get you through the day.

    Price and Availability

Samsung has not announced the price or availability of the Galaxy A14 4G yet, but it has been listed on the company’s Malaysian website in four different colors: Black, Dark Red, Silver, and Green.
