Realme has officially unveiled its latest flagship smartphone, the Realme GT Neo5, in mainland China. The GT Neo5 is set to revolutionize the smartphone industry with its world-first mass production of 240W fast charging. This new feature provides users with the fastest charging power available under the USB Type-C standard and enables the phone to support 30 seconds of charging for two hours of continuous phone calls.

The GT Neo5 is also equipped with three industry-first charging technologies, including the 240W fast charging architecture, the industry’s first 12A custom charging cable, and the world’s first 240W dual GaN mini charger. This advanced technology is not only fast but also safe, as the phone has been certified by TÜV Rheinland for battery longevity and features over 60 layers of safety protection.

In terms of design, the GT Neo5 has a transparent RGB lighting system on the back that provides a unique visual experience, and the lighting system can be customized to suit the user’s preferences. The highly customizable system can be used for charging, gaming, notifications, and more, and users can choose from tons of lighting effects. The GT Neo5 has also adopted a self-developed coating technology that combines matte and glossy finishes, creating a unique visual aesthetic and an exceptional grip feeling.

Realme has confirmed that the next flagship for the global market, the Realme GT3, will also feature the 240W fast charging technology. Madhav Sheth, Realme’s VP and President of the Realme International Business Group, stated that the 240W fast charging will soon be introduced to the global market.

The Realme GT Neo5 is a game-changer for the smartphone industry, offering users the world’s fastest charging power and advanced charging technologies that are both fast and safe. The phone’s unique design, including the transparent RGB lighting system and the self-developed coating technology, sets it apart from its competitors and provides users with a visually stunning and highly customizable experience. The Realme GT Neo5 is available in China starting February 9, 2023, and is available in 16+256GB and 16GB+1TB versions. There is no information on availability in international markets but I expect that to happen in the coming months. As for Kenya, I am not sure if it will be available locally anytime soon.
