Vertiv Expands Factory in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE

Vertiv

Vertiv, a global leader in critical digital infrastructure and continuity solutions, has announced the expansion of its factory in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. The new facility will support the company’s integrated modular solutions (IMS), low voltage switchgear, and busway businesses, enabling Vertiv to meet the increasing demand for its products and services.

The new facility is an extension of the existing E+I Powerbar Gulf factory, providing an additional 5,700 sqm of indoor space that will serve as a production and office area. The new factory will be strategic in Vertiv’s global manufacturing network, allowing the company to better serve its customers in the Middle East, Africa, Australia, and South Asia regions.

Vertiv CEO, Giordano Albertazzi, expressed his pride in the company’s new addition in UAE, saying: “I couldn’t be prouder to see the Vertiv fundamentals of high-performance culture and innovation being brought to life in this new addition in UAE. This expansion allows us to better support our growing customer base in multiple countries, with solutions that are critical to ongoing digital transformation. We will continue to strengthen our capabilities to innovate with and for our customers.”

Adrian Sheridan, Director of Powerbar Gulf, Vertiv, echoed Albertazzi’s sentiments, saying that the new factory space demonstrates the company’s commitment to serving the region. Vertiv is dedicated to providing the latest and most innovative technology solutions to its clients.

The new factory will manufacture several power distribution and continuity solutions, including low-voltage (LV) switchgear, the Vertiv Powerbar iMPB busway system, and prefabricated modular solutions. The LV switchgear will ensure a continuous flow of electricity, enabling hybrid workforces and powering business operations and digital products and services. The switchgear is custom-built using a modular design that can be configured to meet site requirements.

The Vertiv Powerbar iMPB busway system will allow businesses to optimize and adapt their power distribution infrastructure over time, maximizing availability and ensuring continuous power delivery to critical loads. The prefabricated modular solutions offer a complete turnkey package for data centers, with fully assembled power modules engineered, built, and tested in the manufacturing facilities, ready to be installed on-site as a complete pre-integrated unit.

In November 2021, Vertiv completed the acquisition of E+I Engineering Ireland Limited and its affiliate Powerbar Gulf LLC, further strengthening its portfolio of offerings for data centers and critical digital infrastructure and continuity solutions around the world.

The expansion of Vertiv’s factory in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, is a testament to the company’s commitment to serving its customers in the Middle East, Africa, Australia, and South Asia regions. The new facility will support the company’s growing customer base, allowing Vertiv to continue to innovate and provide critical solutions that support ongoing digital transformation.
