TECNO mobile’s premium sub-brand, PHANTOM, has just launched its new flagship PHANTOM X2 Series in Kenya, marking the brand’s bold entrance into the high-end global smartphone market. The series comprises of the PHANTOM X2 Pro 5G and PHANTOM X2 5G, both of which come packed with groundbreaking features and outstanding performance. The phones are available for Ksh 68,000 for the Phantom X2 and Ksh 83,000 for the Phantom X2 Pro.

One of the key features of the PHANTOM X2 Pro 5G is its 65mm focal length, 2.5x optical zoom retractable portrait lens. This innovative lens allows users to capture portraits comparable to professional camera shots with just a pocket-sized device. This is a huge step forward for the smartphone industry and sets an incredible new standard for image-making.

The PHANTOM X2 Pro 5G is also available in an Eco-Friendly Edition, which features a pioneering microfiber back cover made from recycled plastics. This raises the bar for sustainable design in the industry, and is a milestone in the brand’s premium product offering.

Both the PHANTOM X2 Pro 5G and the PHANTOM X2 5G are powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000 4nm 5G chip, which is a huge step forward in terms of performance. The series also features a unique unibody double-curved build and a 3.5D lunar crater design in three mysterious, space-inspired colors. This results in an eye-catching look and a comfortable feel.

Speaking at the launch, Tecno Mobile Kenya’s brand manager Mr. Anthony Brian Otieno said “TECNO has always been pushing to uncover the latest and best premium technologies. As PHANTOM’s new flagship smartphone, the PHANTOM X2 Series brings the PHANTOM brand to the high-end market with a pioneering spirit of innovation, inside and out.”

The PHANTOM X2 Series brand ambassador Mr. Eliud Kipchoge was also impressed with the innovation. He said, “I am impressed with the innovation, it is amazing that the PHANTOM X2 series has the world’s first retractable lens and also made from recyclable materials which means we want a clean and better world for our children. I really admire how TECNO is evolving and the fact that PHANTOM is the pioneering brand. I am among the first users of this device and I can assure you that it is an incredible device. Light and looks very nice.”

Chief product evangelist for the PHANTOM series, Caroline Mutoko, also had positive things to say about the PHANTOM X2 5G. She said, “The PHANTOM X2 5G is an incredible device. I love the way it is personalized for the user. I was among the people who gave feedback at its first stages and I am really impressed by the camera and the gorgeous design.”

Overall, the launch of the PHANTOM X2 Series is a huge step forward for TECNO mobile and the PHANTOM brand. The features and performance of these devices are truly groundbreaking and set an incredible new standard for the smartphone industry. With its focus on innovation and sustainability, the PHANTOM X2 Series is sure to be a hit among consumers
